Essendon Thunder: A Legacy of Excellence and Development

Our Origins
Essendon Thunder is the representative and pathway development netball program for the Essendon District Netball Association (formerly known as Victorian Baptist Churches of Christ and Associated Churches Netball Association Inc). The program was initially established as "Aberfeldie Thunder" in 2015 in collaboration with the Hume Thunder Netball Club.
Evolution of Our Identity
IIn recognising the evolving landscape and our commitment to excellence, our association underwent a significant transformation. The name change to Essendon District Netball Association brought a new era, culminating in the creation of the "Essendon Thunder" brand.
Our Mission
Essendon Thunder was founded to honour the talent, dedication, and rich history of our association and Hume Thunder. Our primary goal is to promote and facilitate a clear pathway to higher levels of netball for our players, providing them with the skills and opportunities to excel.
Developing Talent On and Off the Court
Our Thunder program is designed to foster a positive environment where players can reach their full potential both on and off the netball court. With experienced coaching and comprehensive organizational support, we ensure that our players not only enhance their netball skills but also build lasting relationships in a fun and active setting.
