FINDING A CLUB TO JOIN

The Essendon District Netball Association (EDNA) is proud to be home to a diverse range of member clubs.

Each club brings unique strengths, a rich history, and a shared commitment to promoting the sport of netball in our community.

Essendon District Netball Association is a true association of member clubs who have a direct involvement in the organisation and decision making of the Association.

To play within EDNA all potential players need to be apart of a club. Our current member clubs are listed below and can be contacted to gain entry into a team.

  • Aberfeldie Netball Club

Aberfeldie Netball Club prides itself on being a family-oriented club that provides a friendly place for everyone to play netball. The club doesn't have 'Try Outs' and does not grade players, encouraging teams to stay together to create a team of friends who enjoy playing together.

  • Avondale Heights Netball Club

​Avondale Heights Netball Club offers teams and programs for players aged 5 years and up. The club aims to provide opportunities for the community to play netball and develop their skills. They offer a range of teams and programs within different competitions to cater to all players. The club has both social and competitive programs, allowing players to progress based on their current level and aspirations in their netball career.

The Essendon Netball Club (formerly Windy Hill Netball) was founded in 1994 and is proud of its long-standing affiliation with the Essendon Football Club and its commitment to ‘strengthening communities’. With a particular focus on the development of junior players, the Essendon Netball Club is dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for the game.

St John's Netball Club fosters a love of the game of netball through participation as a player, coach, umpire, committee member, team manager, or as a supporter, all with a view to build a sense of community. We support teams made of friendship and social groups, with a view to promote and maintain the sports involvement of young women in our community. The Club encourages players, umpires, and coaches to develop their netball skills, abide by the rules, and to have FUN!​

  • Strathmore Netball Club

Strathmore Netball Club (SNC) was formed in 2003 for the benefit and enjoyment of players belonging to Strathmore, Essendon, and the wider community. Originally called St Vincent's Netball Club, an amalgamation with Strathmore Sports Club in 2017 led to the renaming of the club to Strathmore Netball Club. The club has a simple philosophy of encouraging all participants to have fun whilst participating in and enjoying the sport of netball.
