Essendon District Netball Association is launching a Summer Fast 5 Competition on Friday nights at Riverside Netball Courts.

Fast, fun and social — perfect for teams looking for a shorter summer competition!

📅 Competition Details

🗓 Friday nights: 16 October – 27 November
🚫 No games Friday 30 October — Melbourne Cup Weekend
🏐 6-week social competition (last round - 1 v 2 on ladder will be the Grand Final - all other teams will still play week 6).
⏰ Game times: 6:30pm, 7:15pm & 8:00pm
💲 Team fee: $350 total  - Includes a $75 (+GST) non-refundable registration fee

 

👶 Potential 5:45pm timeslot for younger teams!
If there is enough demand from younger teams, we may introduce a 5:45pm game timeslot. If this would suit your team, let us know via email.

A second, separate season will be run in Term 1.

⏱ 7-minute quarters
⏸ 2-minute half time
⏳ 1-minute quarter & three-quarter time breaks
🎯 2-point supershot for the whole game
👥 Positions: GS, GA, C, GD, GK
🔄 Rolling substitutions

 

🏆 Age Groups

🟢 Open Mixed — minimum age 14 years
🔴 Open Female — minimum age 14 years
🟡 U15 Mixed
🔵 U15 Female
🟠 U13 Mixed
🟣 U11 Mixed — minimum age 10 years

 

🍕 The pavilion will be open for teams, families and supporters to socialise before and after games. We are currently working with Riverside kitchen and Bar for some extra food and dining options - more details coming soon!

Clubs can enter their teams via Netball Connect - Go to Teams, Create your Team and submit for grading. We will invoice your team fee prior to round 1.

​

To register your own team - follow this link to Netball Connect and select +New Team Registration. A $75 (+gst) fee is due at time of registration, and the remaining amount will be invoiced prior to round 1.
