As we prepare to host the upcoming Association Championships on Sunday, 17th May, we are calling on our wonderful community to help us deliver a smooth, welcoming, and professional event.

Hosting a tournament of this scale is a fantastic opportunity to showcase everything that makes the Essendon District Netball Association so special. To do this successfully, we need support from our members across a range of important tasks on the day.

How you can help:

Saturday (May 16) – Set Up - FULL

Sunday (Throughout the Day) – Event Support

There are a variety of roles available across the day, including:

- Barbecue cooking and food service

- Selling food and drinks at the barbecue

- Assisting in the canteen with hot food and drinks

- Supporting our lolly and chocolate marquee

- Staffing a second drinks station (located between Courts 1 and 9) to help manage crowd flow

- Floating roles around the courts (including court supervision and general assistance)

- Maintaining facilities, including monitoring and restocking toilets

Equipment Support

We are also looking to borrow additional equipment to help us run the day efficiently. If you are able to assist, we would greatly appreciate access to items such as:

- Eskies

- Trestle tables

- Any other useful event equipment

If you are able to lend equipment, please indicate this when signing up. Please ensure that you label your equipment so that it can be returned efficiently to you after the event. Equipment can be delivered to the pavilion throughout the week leading up to the event on competition days (Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday) or on Friday!

Whether you can give a couple of hours or more, every contribution makes a real difference. If we all pitch in, we can ensure the day runs smoothly and provides a positive experience for all participants and visitors, while proudly representing our association.

We kindly ask that you consider volunteering some time

Thank you in advance for your support—we truly appreciate the effort it takes from our community to make events like this a success.

Kind regards,

Wes Armstrong

Administrator
